Abstract:

Roundtable discussion of issues surrounding the lifespan and needs of a student computer. As one-to-one laptop programs, and student computer requirements are becoming more of the norm, what are we seeing as the lifespan of a new computer. How well does a computer purchased for an incoming student survive a typical 4 year college education, and are we left with a usable machine at the end of this time, or outdated equipment.
